Geri Dibiase Solo Exhibition

As I see it... from Kodachrome to iPhone

“Slow down and take a closer look” is the philosophy of photographer Geri Dibiase, who brings her art to CAMP Rehoboth for a one-woman exhibition “As I see it…from Kodachrome to iPhone.” The exhibition will be on display from June 4 to July 2, 2022, with a reception on Sunday, June 5, from 2 to 4 p.m.

After a successful 15 years as the owner of The Main Street Studio in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, Geri returned full time to her passion for photography. “I am grateful for my life behind the camera,” says Dibiase, “as it has provided the opportunity to go more slowly, to take a closer look. There is such beauty around us, in both the grand and the minute, and I am delighted to be living and working in Southern Delaware amidst the beauty of our coastline.”

The relaxed quality of her work has led interior designers to place her work in industrial and private collections, corporate settings, album covers and posters. Geri’s image “Manayunk Sunset” was the featured piece for the Manayunk Arts Festival in 2014. In addition, her work has been featured in the Maine Photographic Workshop summer show in NYC, the William Penn Museum in Harrisburg, PA and the Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover, DE. Numerous solo shows include the Delaware Arts Gallery, the Thunderbird Shop, Mixx, Cloud 9, and Lula Brazil.

“CAMP Rehoboth is thrilled to host Geri’s exhibition,” says CAMP Rehoboth Arts Director Leslie Sinclair. “She is a local favorite and a long-time supporter of the community. Over the years she has donated art to CAMP Rehoboth fundraisers, shared her art for Women’s FEST shirts, photographed the Broadwalk on the Boardwalk from a balcony, and much more. “

Geri’s creativity and talent are on display in this exhibition. From local scenes, to landscapes, florals, and creative compositions, there is something for everybody. Take a moment to slow down. Stop by to enjoy the art and attend the reception to see how Geri sees it!

CAMP Rehoboth Annual Membership

“What is CAMP Rehoboth?” Well, many people say it is a wonderful place on Baltimore Avenue that offers a welcoming space for all. But CAMP Rehoboth is much more than a place. It is people. Not only our staff and volunteers, but you and the community.

CAMP Rehoboth brings people together while promoting community well-being on all levels. We are excited to  reopen, which means re-engaging with very important people -- our Members!

It is primarily because of our loyal Members that we are able to offer the many programs and services that benefit not just our local community, but all of Sussex County and beyond. Becoming a member or upgrading your membership shows you care about the broader spirit of justice and inclusiveness. It also means that you stand alongside your neighbors in helping make Rehoboth Beach and its related communities a safe place for all where everyone is respected equally. Isn’t that what we all want?

Please join us!

Our health and wellness programs provide unique programs and places to find support in this challenging time in which we live. Our Youth Up! program, professional and social networking events, BIPOC, transgendger, and 55+ programming all engage the beautiful variety of individuals and groups who make up this magnificent community. The CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, our monthly art exhibits, the theatre productions, performances and Handmade Market all help to celebrate who we are and tell our stories through our unique voices and mediums.

Our signature events, like Sundance, Women's FEST, and the Baltimore Ave Block Party, are part of what makes our community a wonderful place to live. And our presence and continued advocacy, whether we are providing cultural competency training, speaking out against incidents of hate, or working to promote human and equitable civil rights, all strive to keep Rehoboth Beach and all of Sussex County a safe place with room for all.

Carrying on the work our Founders started and grew; to keep the community safe and comfortable, maintaining our visible presence, and continuing to host terrific events and programs requires ongoing support. Become a Member of CAMP Rehoboth, and you will help provide some of that sustaining annual funding needed to do the life-impacting work CAMP Rehoboth provides for our community.
